About Studio Vela
Studio Vela is an editorial journal exploring Europe’s quieter beauty through timeless interiors, thoughtful travel and stories that celebrate a slower way of seeing the world.

Why Studio Vela
Studio Vela began with a simple observation: the places we remember most are rarely the ones everyone tells us to visit.
They are independent cafés where mornings unfold slowly. Apartments filled with afternoon light. Quiet bookshops, family-run bakeries, carefully designed interiors and streets that reveal their character only to those willing to look a little longer.
Rather than following trends, we seek places, spaces and stories that invite curiosity, presence and a more thoughtful experience of Europe.

Our Philosophy
“Explore with your eyes, not your phone.”
A phone tells you what a place is called. It rarely tells you why it feels the way it does.
We notice the way morning light falls across a café table, the patina on a door handle worn smooth by decades of hands, the particular quiet of a street before a city wakes. These details rarely make it into a guidebook — but they are usually what we remember.
This is the pace at which Studio Vela is written: unhurried, observant, and always a little curious about what lies just past the obvious.
From the Editor
I’m a Polish designer living in Prague, and Studio Vela grew out of my own fascination with Europe’s quieter beauty — timeless interiors, and the idea that ordinary places often become extraordinary when we truly notice them.
Every article begins with careful observation rather than an itinerary. Sometimes it starts inside a neighbourhood café, sometimes in a beautifully designed apartment, a hidden courtyard or a bookshop where time seems to move more slowly.
My hope is that Studio Vela becomes more than a travel journal. I hope it becomes a place you return to for inspiration—a reminder that beauty is rarely loud, and that the most meaningful discoveries often happen when we choose to slow down.
Until Next Time.
Thank you for spending a little time with Studio Vela.
If you’d like to continue the journey, we’d love to write to you occasionally with new stories, timeless interiors, hidden places and thoughtful discoveries from across Europe.
Made slowly in Europe.
